We are seeking a new trustee to support Sefton Carers Centre to invigorate the work we do across the organisation. Sefton Carers Centre was founded by carers, for carers, in 1994.
We support both young and adult carers by providing much needed advice, information and a wide range of practical and emotional support services to promote health, wellbeing and quality of life. We have more than 11,000 Carers registered on our database.
There are over 35,000 carers in Sefton, each providing unpaid care for at least one other person who could not manage without this support.
As a Trustee, you would support the management and administration of our charity to meet the needs of carers in Sefton. You would be required to attend 6 meetings per year including the AGM. You will not be involved in the operations of the charity but will provide advice on strategy and governance.
The role is voluntary - previous experience as a trustee or in governance, or a background in senior management and legal positions, would be desirable.
