Sefton Carers Centre provides a free, confidential, Person Centred Counselling service to unpaid carers, which is delivered by qualified/partially qualified volunteers.
If there are any issues that you feel you would like to discuss, talking to a counsellor might be a positive way to enhance your emotional wellbeing.
We can offer face to face appointments or remote appointments, via iPad (Please note, places are very limited for the remote appointments).
To access Sefton Carers Centre Counselling service, if you are not currently registered with us, we request that you register with Sefton Carers Centre as an unpaid carer. Once registered you may then request a referral for the counselling service by calling 0151 288 6060 / via our contact page here
Please note : In addition to Counselling services offered by Sefton Carers Centre, there are also other counselling services available in the Sefton area including Talking Matters Sefton (TMS). TMS is a free, confidential (TMS) is a free, confidential service designed to help anyone aged over 16 years of age and registered with a GP in Sefton. TMS helps support common mental health difficulties that is affecting your daily living, employment or health.
You can self-refer to TMS by calling 0300 303 2708, emailing This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or via the online referral form here You MUST be registered with a Sefton GP to make a referral. Once TMS have received your referral, you will be contacted to arrange your first assessment.
