Sefton Carers Centre provides free advice and guidance, practical and emotional support, training and a range of holistic therapies for unpaid carers living in Sefton.
There are a number of ways you can get involved with Sefton Carers Centre from volunteering in our offices to helping raise funds for the organisation by arranging events or sponsored activities.
Sefton Carers Centre is a registered charity and the generosity of our supporters allows us to provide many of the services we offer.
If you would like to donate to the centre please visit our Total Giving page here.
To celebrate Sefton Council's 'Year of the Volunteer' you can watch volunteers from the centre talking about their experiences in a series of short videos below (click the red play button to start).
We currently have the following volunteer opportunities available at the centre:
Volunteer Therapists - Sefton Carers Centre provides a range of free holistic therapies to unpaid carers to reduce stress, increase wellbeing and thereby supporting carers to care. Volunteers will need to hold a certificate from the body linked to the therapy they practice and hold a minimum of a diploma level 2. Download the full details here and a volunteer application form here. Also, please see our updated Privacy Notice.
Sitting Service Volunteers - Volunteers who can spare a few hours a month to help enable families who care for relatives to take short breaks from their caring role are also needed for our Sitting Service. If you enjoy talking to people, sharing interests, hobbies and experiences and would like to help your local community then this role may be for you.
For more information about any of our current volunteering opportunities please contact Louise Stewart on 0151 288 6080 or via our contact page.
