We are not currently taking benefits appointments.
Unfortunately due to demand, we have had to temporarily freeze benefits appointments with our advisors. We apologise for the inconvenience and will be opening up appointments again as soon as possible.

Sefton Carers Centre has trusted Welfare Benefits Advisors available for face-to-face, telephone and in some cases visit appointments should you wish to book an appointment for assistance in filling out any forms or for general financial advice.

The service is busy, though we try to see as many carers as possible whilst the DWP generally offer extensions on the deadlines of any forms.

Cancellation Notice
- A carer must give us 48 hours notice if they need to cancel an appointment.
- If a carer does not notify us of a cancellation, we cannot offer them another benefits appointment for 6 months and they are to be signposted to other services.
Changes to our Appeals Support Service
The Welfare Benefits Team can no longer support carers with benefit appeals unless we assisted with the original claim. This difficult decision is due to a significant increase in waiting lists for appointments. Preparing appeal cases requires a substantial amount of specialist time. To manage our resources effectively, we must prioritise carers we have supported from the start of their application journey.
